Then
Hampden Secondary Modern opened on Little Oxhey Lane in 1950, built to take the post-war rise in the number of children, and photographs show its buildings from the playing fields in about 1951 and a sports day in 1951 or 1952. From 1967 it was part of Sir James Altham School, which later used this site alone until it closed in 1989.31,124,146,165,169,180,717,718
Now
Part of the school land was sold for housing on Altham Way, where the Oxhey Jets football club moved into its Boundary Stadium in 2000 to 2001. The rest, including the old pool, is where the county council approved an adult day centre in August 2024, with extra care homes proposed beside it.
