Anglesey Road
Probably named after Anglesey Golf Club, founded in 1914, in Rhosneigr, Anglesey, Wales.
The 1896 map shows what was here before the estate. Drag the round handle to compare it with today.
The name
Anglesey Road probably takes its name from Anglesey Golf Club. Its links course was laid out by Harold Hilton, the Open champion of 1892 and 1897, and lost 14 of its original holes to the Royal Air Force in 1943.

How sure we are of the match: Likely
The estate's streets were named after golf courses. The streets page explains how each match was made.
We have not yet found anything written about this street itself. If you know when it was built or who first lived there, that would help.
