The 1896 map shows what was here before the estate. Drag the round handle to compare it with today.
The name
Blairhead Drive may take its name from Shotts Golf Club. Blairhead is the ground where Shotts Golf Club has played since 1922, so the street may be named for the place rather than the club. James Braid laid out the present course there, work that ran from 1936 to 1949.
Club dates: 1895 (club), at Blairhead since 1922.
Where the club's facts come from: Club History - Shotts Golf Club, the club's own history.
