Then

The estate's first library opened in June 1951 in Little Oxhey Lane, in a converted farmhouse of two rooms up and two down, with an outside lavatory, a hot plate for the kettle and upright paraffin heaters for warmth. It stood next door to a family home and served the estate until the Bridlington Road library opened in May 1962.5,125,601

Now

Our Oxhey says the farmhouse was pulled down for the road up to the new swimming pool, and that the community pool then covered the site. That pool, the Sir James Altham Pool, closed in 2020 and did not reopen. The pin marks roughly where it stood. The building was very probably the old farmhouse of Little Oxhey Farm, which has a pin of its own a few yards away.
