The name
Ferryhills Close may take its name from Ferryhills Golf Club. Its eighteen holes beside the Forth had been Dunfermline Golf Club's old course, and the club did not survive the Second World War.
Club dates: 1929 (closed in the Second World War).
Where the club's facts come from: Ferryhills Golf Club, North Queensferry, Fife (1929 to WW2), Golf's Missing Links.
How sure we are of the match: Possible
The estate's streets were named after golf courses. The streets page explains how each match was made.
We have not yet found anything written about this street itself. If you know when it was built or who first lived there, that would help.
