The name
Shanklin Gardens probably takes its name from Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club. Tom Dunn laid out the first nine holes and died in 1901, so James Braid took over and the 18 holes were finished in 1903.

How sure we are of the match: Likely
The estate's streets were named after golf courses. The streets page explains how each match was made.
We have not yet found anything written about this street itself. If you know when it was built or who first lived there, that would help.
